Very hot in Rio. Went to City of God slums.

Probably the worst I have ever scene.

11 yr olds with babies. Drugs everywhere. No running water.

Filthy beyond compare.

Jays church opening children’s ministry. About 70 kids flocked to us.

The dealers kept very close eyes on us. Many fugitives live here since police only come in when they raid a drug house. I have never seen a more desperate area in my life. Even worse than Haiti.

I am so thankful for everything God has allowed me to have.

I feel so unworthy after seeing these church members joyfully serving week after week literally risking their life. What a reality check to see people living out their faith.

In the midst of extreme poverty and hardship God has a remnant that joyfully sings His praises.
